Fullerton Women's Rugby Club (FWRC) | the wolfpack
- WELCOME TO the wolfpack's OFFICIAL SITE -
Who we are: "The Wolfpack" is Fullerton's senior Women's Rugby Club, located in Fullerton, California. We were established in 2013 as a West Coast Division II team. We consist of a wide range of amazing teammates who bring their unique dynamics, strengths, and talents into the team to make "The Wolfpack" what it is today. Many of our players have come from local teams, such as the Fullerton Youth Rugby Club and CSU Fullerton Women's Rugby, as well as teams from various states and countries.
Our goal: We maintain our team's foundation which is focused on building each players' skills, strengths, and knowledge of rugby. It is our goal to have each of our players perform to the best of their abilities while having a great time being a rugger. We recruit based on a players' desire to learn about rugby and its amazing benefits which include a consistent great work out and being a part of a growing network driven by empowered women. We ask for commitment and participation. In return, our players become physically and mentally prepared while enjoying the culture and craziness of rugby. Basically, our goal is to "grow our game, one tackle at a time" -Ariel Botero. No judgment here. Let's learn, grow, and kick ass together.
How the club started: In May 2013, a couple Fullerton Rugby Youth coaches and Ariane Botero -a former youth player, decided to form a senior Women's Rugby Club -a space for players in the Orange County area to call their home team. After seeing the collective (and growing) need by various women to have a city team, these leaders decided to create what is now known as the triumphant "Wolfpack."
